3.0L Turbo-Diesel
The highly refined Isuzu 4JJ3-TCX 3.0L turbo-diesel common rail engine offers exceptional performance thanks to fuel injection optimisation and a large front-mounted intercooler.
2.2L Turbo-Diesel
The Isuzu RZ4F-TC 2.2L turbo-diesel engine is engineered for drivers who demand efficiency and performance without compromise. Built with Isuzu’s trademark durability, it delivers greater efficiency while boosting performance, with dynamic acceleration off the line and confident power at highway speeds that inspires peace of mind on every drive.
Power & Efficiency
The Isuzu RZ4F-TC 2.2L turbo-diesel engine produces 120kW, with 400Nm available from 1,600 to 2,400rpm. It delivers impressive efficiency without compromising on performance, offering reliable driveability for city streets and the strength to take on off-road adventures.
8-SPEED TRANSMISSION
Complementing the 2.2L engine is an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission. The Underfloor View displays wheel position, guidelines and vehicle trajectory, while showcasing the terrain beneath the vehicle for added confidence on challenging trails. (Standard on LS-T & X-TERRAIN models)
4X4 Terrain Command
Engineered for Australian conditions, every 4x4 MU-X features ‘Terrain Command’ as standard, allowing you to switch between 2WD-high and 4WD-high modes at speeds of up to 100km/h. When the going gets tough, selecting 4WD-low will provide increased traction and complete control.
Rear Differential Lock
To get you out of the toughest spots, 4x4 MU-X models come standard with a rear differential lock. If you're on a slippery, uneven surface with the rear wheels spinning, the rear differential lock assists the low-ratio 4WD-low mode to give you the extra traction and control needed to keep moving.
Rough Terrain Mode
Engineered for Australian conditions, every 4x4 MU-X features Rough Terrain Mode as standard. Rough Terrain Mode provides a new lease on traction as an off-road biased electronic driver aid that maximises drivability in technical, slippery and rough conditions.
80 Litre Fuel Tank

Hill Start Assist & Descent Control
Take on any challenge with Hill Start Assist which prevents vehicle roll-back when starting on steep gradients (above 5.7 degrees). Hill Descent Control gives you the confidence to tackle any downhill terrain by ensuring maximum traction.
800MM Wading Depth∞
Wherever you're planning to go, your 4x4 MU-X is up for the task. With strong steel underbody protection, and a wading depth of up to 800mm∞ , the MU-X is your most reliable way to escape the everyday.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
The system constantly monitors and reports individual tyre pressures and temperatures. When refilling your tyres, the vehicle will conveniently alert you once the correct pressure has been reached. (Standard on LS-U, LS-T & X-TERRAIN models)
Underbody Protection
The MU-X 4x4 models have sturdy steel underbody protection, including a steel sump and transfer case guard, for extra protection in punishing off-road conditions.
