Isuzu D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis
Isuzu UTE Australia has announced a set to be a popular addition to the already popular D-MAX lineup. The updated 2022 model year lineup now gains the SX Single Cab Chassis 4x2 variant with a new 1.9 litre turbo diesel priced from just $29,990 driveaway. This variant is set to be popular amongst tradespeople, commercial operators and fleet drivers.
It comes as standard with the full suite of driver assistance systems from isuzu as part of the intelligent driver assistance systems (idas). Key systems include aeb, active cruise control and blind spot monitoring.
The interior is built for durability with a wipe-down vinyl floor but still features the same high level of standardised equipment such as the 7” high definition infotainment system featuring DAB+ radio along with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The new 1.9-litre engine addition delivers performance and efficiency in one small package. Outputting 110kw of power and 350nm of torque this engine has earned its stripes overseas for its robust nature and low operating costs. With official fuel consumption figures of 7.0l/100km and with a 76-litre fuel tank this new variant can travel close to 1000km between fuel stops.
Even though this variant is great value for money it doesn’t miss out on much with every model fitted as standard with Isuzu’s genuine economic alloy tray. And with payload top of mind, it delivers one of the best in the segment when equipped with the 1.9-litre engine. At 1,405kg in manual and 1,380kg in automatic. Although the braked towing capacity is decreased slightly at 2.8t in the manual and 3.0t in the automatic, this variant is designed to be a workhorse and will be able to tow most things that you throw at it. If a 3.5t braked towing capacity is a necessity the 3.0l diesel engine is still available to satisfy these needs but has a reduced payload capacity.
